While traditional methods like demo days and pitch sessions are common, we felt a need for innovation in this area. This led to the creation of Pitch Point. In this article, we discuss how Pitch Point came to be and its initial launch at Devconnect week in Istanbul.
Creating a Unique Networking Experience
Pitch Point aimed to create a distinctive and more personal networking environment by limiting attendance to 55 people. This deliberate choice led to a highly effective networking event, receiving excellent feedback from both venture capitalists and project teams alike.
Key Highlights from Pitch Point
The first Pitch Point event, held during Devconnect week, featured a panel discussion with Valeria Kholostenko [LBank Labs], Lionel Pek [The Spartan Group], Nikos Karamangiolis [Signum Capital], and Rene Darmos [Moonhill Capital].
The panel focused on two key topics:
"Bear market doesn't exist: Next gen. and next gem"
"How not to kill your venture + AMA."
The panel lasted longer than expected, indicating significant interest and engagement from the audience.
Project Selection and Engagement
Out of nearly 200 submissions, our team carefully reviewed and selected 20 of the most promising projects. These projects had the exceptional opportunity to interact directly with attending venture capitalists, fostering insightful discussions and potential future collaborations.
