When a month feels like a year and a week at once
The inaugural global-scale event took place in Romania at ETH Bucharest, and we accepted an invitation to attend as judges for the hackathon and panelists. Additionally, we organized the subsequent edition of Pitch Point.
The atmosphere at ETH Bucharest and throughout Bucharest itself was remarkable. It was truly gratifying to see such a significant number of visitors and supporters in Romania. The event was conducted with true professionalism. During the panel discussion with Outlier Ventures, Messari, and EdenBlock, we engaged in an exceptional and productive dialogue. Once it's published, we'll provide the link below this paragraph.
With the same partners and supported by Dora Hacks, we also hosted Pitch Point, providing founders an opportunity to engage freely with venture capitalists. While this wasn't our first Pitch Point, we were once again impressed by the atmosphere and the quality of discussions. We've been assured that organizing small, private events with carefully selected hosts and founders is immensely beneficial for both parties. We extend our gratitude to everyone for their attendance, insightful questions, and the constructive discussions that ensued.
Prior to the main event, April Token 2049, we were invited to judge and participate in discussions at ETH DAM in Amsterdam.
It's astounding how well-organized the event was, especially considering that the main organizer, Eleonore Blanc from CryptoCanal, was in the late stages of pregnancy. It demonstrates the incredible resilience of individuals in the crypto community. The panel discussion, alongside Maven11 and Outlier Ventures, as well as the shark tank-style project judging on the main stage, was enriching and highly enjoyable.
Both of the above mentioned events facilitated significant connections and strengthened our network across the EU. While the main event occurred in the latter half of April, in addition to forging new connections and partnerships, we had pre-scheduled meetings with our current partners, portfolio companies, and potential collaborators. Our plans, like those of others, were impacted by the storm on Tuesday. The first day proved challenging for everyone, particularly the organizers of various events.
As the saying goes, "after the storm comes the calm." This held true in Dubai. Well, not that calm, more likely stuck. Despite logistical challenges, we managed to meet with all the key individuals we had planned to, and attended all the necessary events. Our presence at Dubai Token 2049 main event was limited as the most crucial engagements took place at side events, which were abundant. Despite having three team members on-site, it was impossible to attend everything we would have liked to.
Out of all side events its worth to mention few outstanding ones, like TRGC Infracon, Gameswift & Neo Tokyo Yacht, AIG event, VNTR breakfast, Founders & Investors brunch, Luna PR Polo, GCR brunch, Dora Hacks breakfast meetup and many others…
As a result, we've cultivated new potential deals, partnerships, collaborations with KOLs, and strengthened relationships with our major partners.
Our GP, Rene, remained in Dubai until the 26th, following an invitation to participate in a panel discussion alongside the Investment Director of Binance Labs and the CEO of Medifakt at the Global Blockchain Congress organized by Agora.
Once we receive a recording of this panel, dedicated to DePIN, we will provide the link here:
Last month was marked by a whirlwind of events and travel. May promises to be similarly eventful, just more concentrated in Central and Eastern Europe.
We express our gratitude to everyone who supported us and facilitated our participation in the aforementioned events.
